Sakharov Month
in Vilnius

On May 21, 1921 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Andrei Sakharov was born. While being one of the most important nuclear physicist of his era, he became an outspoken proponent of non-proliferation of nuclear arms, and the most prominent human rights defender in his country.
