
Letizia Santhià is a young graduate student passionate about Eastern Europe and the post-Soviet space. During her internship at the Sakharov Center, she participated in the XII Sakharov Conference with a study on historical memory among youth in Lithuania and she has published several reports on the Center's work. In 2023, she successfully completed a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Research in Eastern Europe Studies (MIREES) at the University of Bologna in partnership with Vytautas Magnus University, discussing a thesis on social uprising in Belarus in 2020. Currently, she is focusing especially on border studies, migration and human rights, while she continues to cultivate her interest in social and political developments in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.
