Junhyup Kwon is a journalist based in Seoul, South Korea, specializing in East Asia. He has reported on Korean and international news since 2016. Kwon previously covered East Asia, including North and South Korea, for the BBC, VICE, and Kukmin Ilbo. He has won multiple journalism awards from the Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) and the Journalists Association of Korea. Kwon has also reported on historic inter-Korean concerts in Pyongyang.
