
Dr. Denis Suarsana has been the Director of the Indonesia office of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in Jakarta since 2022 and currently acts as the Interim Director of the organization’s Regional Office Australia and the Pacific, as well. Previously, he was Deputy Director Strategy at the German Employers’ Association (BDA) in Berlin. From 2016 to 2018, Mr. Suarsana worked as a Policy Advisor on Poland at the German Federal Foreign Office. He holds a doctorate in economics and studied political science and European studies in Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom. He is regularly writing and publishing on issues concerning Europe’s global competitiveness, international trade as well as economic de-risking and diversification in Southeast Asia.
