Michael Cotey Morgan is associate professor of international history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the author of The Final Act: The Helsinki Accords and the Transformation of the Cold War (Princeton UP, 2018), which received the Edgar S. Furniss Award for best first book in international security. He was educated at the University of Toronto, Cambridge University, and Yale University. Before joining the faculty at UNC, he taught at the US Naval War College and the University of Toronto, and was a visiting fellow at Sciences Po, Paris.
