Brian Bonner is an American who permanently resides in Ukraine. He is a senior editor at Geopolitical Intelligence Services, which provides analysis and forecasting on world affairs from a global network of experts. He served 14 years as the chief editor of the Kyiv Post, Ukraine's English-language newspaper, in 1999 and again from 2008-2021. He spent most of his career with the St. Paul Pioneer Press in Minnesota, where he covered international, national, and local news as a staff writer, foreign correspondent and assigning editor from 1983 to 2007. Besides Ukraine, he has reported from Russia, Belgium, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Laos, Norway,  Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom. He also worked as an election expert on six observation missions with the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, working in Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan from 1999 to 2013.
