Janet Anderson is a journalist and podcast host specialised in accountability processes for
international crimes. She founded Asymmetrical Haircuts , a podcast providing a gender
balance to international criminal justice commentary, and she provides support and
training to fellow journalists navigating The Hague’s legal and human rights institutions.
Since working for the BBC as a producer and foreign correspondent, she has written for
media across Europe and Africa.
She has (co-)authored several handbooks for activists and journalists including
Monitoring Atrocity Crimes Trials; Reporting Justice: A Handbook on Covering War Crimes
Courts; Reporting Transitional Justice: A Handbook for Journalists; and Assignment
Justice: A Practical Guide for Sudanese Journalists.
