Senator Michèle Audette in our conference. She is a Canadian politician and activist, also known as an advocate for Indigenous women’s rights. At the age of 27, she was elected president of the Quebec Native Women’s Association. From 2012 to 2016, she was president of the Native Women’s Association of Canada. She was also named one of the five commissioners of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. In 2021, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau nominated her to the Canadian Senate, as a Senator for Quebec. She will speak about Canadian Truth and Reconciliation Program.
