Asta Skaisgiryte is the Chief Adviser on Foreign Policy to the President of Lithuania. She assumed her present duties after the election of President Nauseda in July 2019.
Ms Skaisgiryte has been in the Lithuanian Diplomatic Service since 1993. She held various positions both in the capital and overseas: ambassador to France, Israel, United Kingdom, non-resident ambassador to Tunisia, Ethiopia, South Africa, Oman. She served as adviser to Prime Minister and Vice Minister on Foreign Affairs as well. Asta speaks Lithuanian (native), French, English and Russian. She likes reading books on history and societal development.
